Vista Sounds Off - Literally.

I applaud Chris Pirillo’s efforts for voicing his opinion regarding Vista’s shortcomings. Honestly, I expected way more from Vista out of the box.

I’ve got a few minor issues with Vista. Mostly with the hideous wakeup support. After my laptop has been in sleep mode it acts hungover. Upon wake up there is no sound. It seems the only way to restore the sound is to restart the laptop. Apparently this is a known issue and Microsoft has released a patch to resolve this issue. I installed the patch but it had no effect. I still get no sound after wake up. Vista SP1 is supposed to address this but for now I’ll have to live with it. Shame on you Vista! You really should stop being so lazy and get out of bed.
